Recently completed a full basement renovation (gut and full rebuild with a full bath) in midtown Toronto and the TROC team did an amazing job. Working with our project manager Jeff was a breeze, he kept our project on schedule, handled any issues that arose quickly finding solutions for us to assess and the finished result is better than what we expected. The team was very professional, took extra steps to make sure everything was to our expectation and able to work in a complex building with ease. Looking forward to hiring the team back for all future renovations!!

Initial Scope
Basement renovation.
Timeline & Trades
7 weeks – No delays or problems during the renovation. Trades: We-Haul – Demolition, Mant – Electrical, ExpressRooter – Plumbing, Toronto Taping Team – Drywall, Laying Tiles Toronto – tiles, Shower Lagoon – Shower Glass, Barwari Hardwood – flooring, Felari – Painting
The Client’s Problem or Challenge
Before Conditions
Finished basement but very congested; 3 rooms not in a good layout. The place looked tight. Power wasn’t properly distributed.
Site / Structural Hurdles
When open the ceiling we face Asbestos and had to remove it all. Type 2 abetment that increased the costs.
The Solution & Execution
Work Performed
We made a full open concept to open up the areas and get more space around the basement. New 100amp panel upgrade to get rid of the sub panels.
Materials & Custom Features
Custom framing to be able to accomodate new doors, also custom angled door under the under the stairs. 2 bi-pass closet doors very custom too.
Key Decisions
Floating engineered hardwood flooring to be installed, in order to have it all installed properly and being super nice, we decided to do a self level before installing the flooring. Custom laundry doors.
Standout Details
Gym area with the mirrors to work out and funcionality of the bathroom, as well fitting custom laundry closet between laundry and bathroom. The quantity of items we were able to accomodate nicely in the basement.
